Senior next of kin means..

• If the person, immediately before death was married the spouse "SPOUSE" includes a person of the opposite sex who immediately before death, was living with the deceased on a permanent domestic basis.
• If the person, immediately before death, was not married, or if married, the spouse is not available - a son or daughter of or over the age of 18 years
• If a spouse, son or daughter not available - a parent
• All of the above not available - brother or sister over 18 years
  
• All of the above not available - an executor of the Will or a person who immediately before death was a personal representative
• If no other person mentioned in this sub-section is available - any person nominated by the deceased to be contacted in an emergency.
